The man behind the mask in BioShock 2

Thanks to someone seeing something I never would have, now I can’t unsee Bomberman in this BioShock 2 cover art. Seriously, it’s carved into my brain now.

It is pretty hilarious though, the resemblance is insane. He’s got the tall eyes, the big plain face, two round hands and even the ball on top – it’s uncanny. Thanks Internet, you’ve ruined the cover for me (and at the same time, made it completely awesome in its own way).

P.S. Maybe we’re already on to the “Would you kindly” of BioShock 2.

Bomberman, Bonk head to XBLA, PSN, WiiWare

Two classic Hudson franchises are back, one of which you can guess immediately, while the other … not so much. Getting the easy one out of the way first, Bomberman Live: Battlefest has just been announced and will launch on XBLA, PSN and WiiWare. XBLA gets first dibs with a launch coming this winter, while PSN and WiiWare won’t see the game until 2010.

Battlefest is a follow-up to Bomberman Live, which is one of the best multiplayer experiences to be found on XBLA. There are plenty of new features to warrant a sequel, with five new power-ups, 18 new costumes (on top of all the old ones), new arenas and, on XBLA, Avatar support. With Avatar support, Hudson is actually letting you play as one on the battlefield. Neat, but I’ll probably stick to the classic Bomberman. READ MORE
