Big Daddy

The man behind the mask in BioShock 2

Thanks to someone seeing something I never would have, now I can’t unsee Bomberman in this BioShock 2 cover art. Seriously, it’s carved into my brain now.

It is pretty hilarious though, the resemblance is insane. He’s got the tall eyes, the big plain face, two round hands and even the ball on top – it’s uncanny. Thanks Internet, you’ve ruined the cover for me (and at the same time, made it completely awesome in its own way).

P.S. Maybe we’re already on to the “Would you kindly” of BioShock 2.

Most of the time cosplay goes horribly, horribly wrong. However, every so often you get a good one. Well, this isn’t a good one, this is an amazing one.

BioShock has been the source of many recent cosplay getups and Halloween costumes, but this one tops ‘em all.

After months of working with the Georgia Aquarium, these cosplayers were finally allowed in for a jaw-dropping photo shoot. Not only are the costumes realized in grim detail, but the setting is just about as good as anyone will ever get.

Also, these shots get me hyped for BioShock 2.

Zelnick wants to turn Big Daddy into Big Money

Take-Two might have their heads a bit too far in the clouds as the company hopes for BioShock 2 to push more than 5 million units, Venturebeat reports. The words come via an interview with Take-Two chairman Strauss Zelnick. To put that into perspective, the first sold roughly 3 million units.

“We have enough hits. We have an unmatched hit ratio. BioShock is a great example. It won 50 game of the year awards in 2007. We announced it sold around 3 million units,” Zelnick said. “I’d like to see a title like that sell 5 million units. That would make the difference for us. If you have four or five titles that are significantly successful, that will meaningfully change our profitability.”
