Left 4 Dead 2 boycotters left looking stupid

Valve is on a mission to make those thousands of Left 4 Dead 2 boycotters feel every bit as foolish as they should. First comes the news that Left 4 Dead support is still headed to both PC and XBLA, and now comes the rumbling that Valve is looking into crossplay for L4D and L4D2.

“That’s something that we’re trying to work out the details of right now,” VP of marketing Valve Doug Lombardi said. “So nothing specific to say today, but we understand that it’s a very valid thing to be working on and looking at.”

Valve is really punching the boycotters repeatedly in the gut, aren’t they? The end result of all of this could turn out to be continued support of Left 4 Dead and crossplay with Left 4 Dead 2. Basically, the three people who refuse to swallow their pride and never buy L4D2 will continue to see plenty of online activity because the rest of the sane world will be able to play both games from one disc, keeping the L4D community alive and well.
