On the DL: NyxQuest, Rock N’ Roll Climber release, Star Wars to VC
What to do, what to do. This week’s Nintendo Download is working me over right now. NyxQuest finally launches this week and it’s a game I’ve been really excited about for some time now, but what about Trials HD? Decisions, decisions…
If only there were some magical portal I could use to get back the money I spent on Turtles in Time Re-Shelled, as it went for the same $10 that NyxQuest, a new and legitimately good game, is running for.
Rock N’ Roll Climber hits this Monday, too, for a slightly lower 800 points. Rock N’ Roll Climber is the odd rock climbing title that Nintendo debuted back at GDC. Using the Balance Board (optional) and nunchuk setup, you scale a rock wall and…rock out with a guitar at the top. Yeah, it’s sort of weird.
Having not heard anything about it and then having it release out of nowhere, it’s easy to fear the worst. Given the team’s track record, however, I’ll be keeping an eye out for reviews. Before taking on the Vitei name, they helped create titles like Doshin the Giant and 1080 Snowboarding and CEO Giles Goddard worked on Super Mario 64 and Star Fox.
Super Star Wars hits the Virtual Console for 800 points. I loved the SNES Star Wars titles back in the day, though I question how they hold up today. I still sort of really want it, though.
DSiWare gets Brain Age Express: Arts & Letters for a princely 800 points – wow. No thanks, Nintendo. You can keep all of that.
